When I was a kid, I’d sometimes take a break from neurotically coloring strictly inside the lines and start making swirling scribbles of every color I could get my hands on. I’d say, “this is what a rainbow stuck in a tornado looks like.” A realistic impossibility scientifically speaking, but the idea of visually representing something others haven’t seen before is still something I love doing.
